Meeting Minutes 

JMRC Flyers minutes of meeting.

Meeting was held at Camp Horno, (Subway patio) on 12/13/2009. Meeting was called to order by club president Juan Galvez at 10:00.

Present in the meeting 21 members including club officers.

First and foremost item was discussed the field closure, the base alleges the lease and license had not been renewed? Juan had submitted all the required documents in April 2009, he was certain it would be cleared soon he contact the base lease authority on Monday.

Juan reported the past year had very low flying activity despite the club efforts to promote and bring members out by having BBQ on meeting days at LZ 53.

Paul Casselman, club treasurer gave treasurers report as follows:

Gross deposit including Balance Forward from last report and membership dues collected $7,985.00. Less miscellaneous total expenses of $4485, plus dues received for 2010 as of to date reflects closing balance of $6547.

Paul also reported the membership count of 128 and ratio of 2:1 military to civilian is maintained.

Discussion on having additional trainer planes was debated. Juan reported club has two trainer planes and the club owned AC generator.

Robert suggested in spirit of holidays we should donate money to charity, it was recommended by a member to donate money to Wounded Worriers, and $500 was suggested and unanimously voted and approved.

Nomination and election of 2010 club officers took place. The results are as follows:

Robert Rodenas – Newly elected V.P.

Charles Rodelli – Newly elected Secretary

President to appoint Field marshal & trainers/instructors: to train the new pilots.

Some members voiced experiencing entry problem due to number of times a civilian can enter the base imposed. Robert Rodenas volunteered to help Juan to submit civilian   member list to the base and resolve the entry problem.

Raffle tickets were sold and fine planes were raffled. And happy winners won the raffle. Wishing everyone happy landing.
